About
Unsouthern Gentlemen is a Las Vegas-based band steeped deep in Outlaw Country music traditions. Formed in 2020, this band tells stories that easily relate to the common person. Backed with rich harmonies and a full, big sound, listening to Unsouthern Gentlemen is like spending time with a good friend.
Native Nevadan Rich Martin began singing and playing guitar at the age of eight. With a voice and writing style that is years ahead of his time, Rich fronts the 4-voice band on lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
Hailing from Philadelphia, lead guitarist Jason DeCaestecker’s vocals blend perfectly and are a huge part of the band’s overall sound. A master of texture, Jason adds to the emotion and story of a song with an instrumental arsenal that includes Guitar, Dobro, Mandolin, 12-string, lap Steel, and Slide Guitar.
Bassist Theodore (Theo) Opal knows how and when to lay down the right amount of energy to build a song’s foundation. Originally from the Bay Area of California, Theo is the anchor of the band and offers yet another voice to this robust vocal ensemble.
Drummer/vocalist Jeremy Tait is a top-call percussionist in the Las Vegas area who has a brilliant resume that includes performing with such artists as The Who, Andrea Bocelli, 311, Itzhak Perlman, Amy Grant, Hugh Jackman, and Donny & Marie Osmond. Jeremy adds a unique flavor to band’s sound with a wide array of mallet instruments and percussion that you won’t normally find on a Country stage that actually includes a Timpani.
