Como La Flor: a Tribute to Selena

Ely has been singing since the early age of 9 years old. At this time most of her singing was done in a church choir. At the age of 19 Ely began singing in a local latin band in her native Veracruz, Mexico. At this moment in her life, her role in this band was to sing only Selena songs…earning her the nickname of “Selenita”. At the age of 20 years she started to work professionally in the bar and private party circuit.

In 2001 she decided to leave her native Veracruz and head north to Mexicali, where she has improved her singing skills and fronted for many showbands in this region. This also includes her extensive work in many radio commercials and in musical plays such as “Frozen”(Spanish version) where she is actively sings and acts..
