Having built a devout following in Las Vegas and the Western US, Chris Heers Band unleashes his images and characters onto his debut Nashville studio record featuring 12 self-penned songs brought to life by an all-star cast.
Led by bandleader Pat McGrath (Jim Lauderdale, Alison Krauss), Western Stars kicks off with a giant song; “Dirt Rich”, a two-stepper about a “wealthy” farmer, and then shifts into a breathtaking journey through country, Americana and folk, including the much talked about “Sarah The Butterfly”.
A native Las Vegan, Chris Heers Band learned to craft songs while living in Nashville and is on the leading edge of the booming Las Vegas country music scene. Chris Heers Band draws influence from a long list of songwriting masters including Guy Clark, Steve Earle and Don Schlitz. Vocally, his style is a blend of Don McLean, Garth Brooks, and George Strait.
