PETE PETERKIN 1

About

WORLD’S MOST VERSATILE VARIETY ENTERTAINER

Pete Peterkin is being called one of the most versatile and exciting entertainers in show business today. A singer/actor as well as a master of over 200 celebrity impressions, 20 musical instruments and an amazing variety of dance styles, Mr. Peterkin’s services are in constant demand year round. Starting out in the 1980s as a theatrical composer and songwriter/guitar-virtuoso for the likes of The Temptations, The Four Tops, Donny Hathaway and Curtis Mayfield, Pete initially was content to stay behind the scenes and help others maintain their well deserved star status. However after an 8 year stint writing and performing comedy for L.A.’s number 1 radio station 92FM The Beat, he soon began to realize it was time to step from beyond the shadows and take his talents to a whole new level. He soon began performing celebrity tributes for corporate events, doing recreations of such legendary performers as Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Little Richard, Michael Jackson, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sammy Davis, Jr. and many others. Along with his other skills he eventually added multi-instrumentalist, stand-up comedian, host/motivator, screenwriter and actor to his credits. As an actor he received rave notices for his starring roles in theatrical productions including his portrayal of “The Preacher Man” in the Chicago production of “The Blues Brothers Revival” starring Dan Aykroyd and the Las Vegas Tribute to the Rat Pack with Pete starring as Sammy Davis, Jr. In this show Pete not only acted and sang as his idol Sammy but also did impressions, played drums, trumpet, piano and also performed a tap segment! His performances have received standing ovations from such diverse luminaries as Quincy Jones, Ben Vereen, Suze Orman, Tony Orlando, Mickey Gilley and Las Vegas legend the late great Danny Gans among many others. In television he landed featured roles on several top rated shows including The Fresh Prince starring Will Smith, Soul Food, The Young and the Restless, The Jimmy Kimmel Show, The Sopranos and others. In 2009 his uncanny portrayal of President Obama landed him in the finals on America’s Got Talent. His many appearances on the show garnered him millions of new fans world-wide. In 2012 Pete co-headlined with several American Idol top 10 finalists at the world famous Andy Williams Moon River Theater. He recently moved to Las Vegas with plans of building a show around his unique performing abilities.
