Ahead of his time easily describes the musical conversation and approach of VDJ JayT (DJ DaddyFats.) He has been deeply rooted in the music scene as an artist, producer, and DJ/Emcee for more than 10 years. Born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas he discovered his musical talents at an early age under the mentorship of his uncle, a successful blues DJ. At the age of 4, he was already playing the drums and by the age of 12 had progressed to the piano and violin. As a natural and eager learner, he attended both Middle and High school magnets that specialized in fine arts and musical education.

After graduating high school in 2002, JayT along with a business partner formed a media production company, DMP Media Services. This company specializes in the production and creation of various musical genres: classical, jazz, fusion jazz, pop, country, R&B, hip-hop, rap, neo-soul, electronica, dubstep, and house.

By the year of 2009, DJ JayT the brand had become a recognized staple in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Missouri. The experience and diversity of this entertainer coupled with the hosting several mixtapes (the SwitchUp series) have allowed DJ JayT to be a guest feature for some of the largest venues in the United States.

DJ JayT has cemented his status in the nightclub industry by DJ-ing several exclusive celebrity events for names such as Keri Hilson, Ladanian Tomlinson, Mya, Tank, Vince Young, Kenyon Martin, Ginuwine, Omarion, Shaquille O’ Neal and even Diddy. As he continues to push the limits of his career, DJ JayT will continue to serve as a cornerstone of professionalism, class, and determination.
