Reuel

About

EARLY YEARS

Reuel grew up in Austin, TX and began studying classical piano under Dr. Julia Kruger at age 11. He went on to compete in national and international piano competitions throughout high school. During this time, he broadened his musical repertoire playing melodies from famous movies and improvising daily on the piano. Reuel eventually discovered the classic rock greats and listened to bands such as Queen, Yes, Pink Floyd, The Doors, and Vangelis. These timeless artists formed his understanding of modern music. Reuel finished his classical studies at age 18 and immediately started using his improvisation abilities to score music for movies. (Reuel IMDb)

During the next few years working as a lounge pianist and film composer, he discovered an emerging genre called classical crossover and began listening to artists such as Maksim Mrvica, The Bond Quartet, Vanessa-Mae, Lindsey Sterling, and 2Cellos. After recording three original solo piano albums in the early 2000s, Reuel recorded his first classical crossover piano album in 2012 titled Lumiere Du Son. This album opened the door to more live shows and in 2015 Reuel moved to Las Vegas and began crafting his classical crossover show for theaters.

THE LATEST

Reuel is presently concentrating on live piano crossover shows, performing with his band in Las Vegas and playing concerts across the United States. Reuel signed with Lucky Hound Music in 2017 and has two albums scheduled for release with this label.
