A native of Auburn, AL, Desmond grew up drenched in Gospel, Blues, R&B, and Soul music. As a serene and very observant child, he began singing in his father’s church at two years old. By age six he was playing piano and organ, and by ten he was on to the drum set. Desmond is a 2016 graduate of Berklee College of Music. He has been working with SaveOurSelves Productions & Consulting for three years as an artist under the tutelage of Lawrence “Larry” Watson. He has performed for/with the Supreme Court Justice, The Little Rock Nine, Sybrina Fulton (Trayvon Martin’s mother), Harvard University, the NAACP, Berry Gordy (founder of Motown), Valerie Simpson, Nona Hendryx, Harry Belafonte, Mark Wahlberg, and was a top 50 finalists on the 2014 Season of American Idol. Desmond is also a songwriter, arranger, musical director, and composer. Nowadays, you can find him performing weekly at top various clubs/lounges in Manhattan. Desmond has been dedicated to social justice and the elevation of humanity on all fronts and is committed to further artist activism.
